This was our last opportunity to experience "Legend Of The Seas" before she was transferred over to The Thompson Group. My wife and I loved sailing on this vessel - three times last year alone - and needless to say we are sorry to see her go. Unfortunately she is the only ship in the RCI fleet that can get under the Gateway Bridge in our hometown of Brisbane, and we must now incur plane fares to Sydney to remain "Loyal To Royal". Hopefully it is not to long before a proposed terminal on the Bay side of the bridge is forthcoming, as Queensland has responded well to RCI's venture into our fair state and it has been a profitable exercise for the company.

As the ship is not going to be with us for much longer there is not much point in extolling her virtues, of which there are many. Instead I will mention the wonderful crew which have come to know over the last year or so, many of whom remembered us from previous cruises. Not only our cabin steward Lucky who did a great job, but all of the stewards that we met as we walked through the ship who greeted us with a smile and a " Good Morning, have a nice day" or a similar greeting, which always sounded genuine; and busy though they always are they usually found time to have a few words with you.

The service and attention we received from the staff in the Guest Services area was beyond our expectations, nothing was too much trouble for them even though at times they were absolutely snowed under. Special mention must go to Ilya Zhang who was just brilliant, a shining star. Our wait staff in the Romeo & Juliet Dining room were thoroughly professional in performing their duties, our thanks in particular to Expedito Cubar and Atish Poorhun, a young man who has a big future in the industry in my opinion. These people, and the rest of the bar staff, entertainers, Cruise Director, activities manager, Chefs cooks and bottle washers etc etc are the main reason we keep coming back to this cruise line and are "LOYAL TO ROYAL."
