Sail Date: Jan 2017
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise to get some much needed rest, sleep and sunshine having done the same cruise on Splendour of the seas last year.

We found Vision of the Seas a bit tired and not as nice as Splendour.

Embarkation and disembarkation were quite smooth. We found that the menu choices in the Main Dining Room were poor on some evenings. The (always busy) Windjammer food was consistently fresh when we ate at lunchtime and breakfast in the cabin was generally fine. We had a fantastic meal at Chop's Grille but did not enjoy our meal at Giovanni's table.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

The cabin was reasonably spacious with ample storage space. However, there was dirt/mould on the PVC of the balcony doors and the balcony floor was stained. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

We had a significant problem at night with noise from The Schooner Bar as the cabin was almost directly above the piano/microphone and we could hear every note played and word sung until midnight, or just after on some occasions. This prevented us from sleeping and getting the rest that we needed. RCI did not take the complaint seriously enough and tried to suggest it had never been a problem. We were unable to move cabin as the ship was full. Eventually after much persistence by my husband, the noise was turned down for the last 2 nights. If you are planning on trying to sleep before midnight, avoid this cabin.
