We chose this cruise because of the ports. We love to cruise and see different islands. I'd have to say that we love visiting new places so we book for ports before we repeat a ship. We really don't go to any shows as we live by & enjoy shows on Broadway in NYC. We were not impressed by any of the shows we did see. We are not that interested in entertainment on the ships, any of them. We cruise to visit different places, relax on sea days & dine. Its a great way for our family to reconnect and "disconnect". We always get balcony cabins next to each other, which was Great on Sunshine as they were able to open the balconies so we al connected form outside. We chose Sunshine because it did have the Adult only area, none of us were impressed. It was in the same area as the main pool, and was NEVER quiet!! That was a disappointment. Most sea days were pretty windy, which isn't unusual in the open seas, so the top 2 decks in the Adult Only area where a lot of the Bali beds and 4 hammocks were located, was closed. We found the service ALL OVER the ship to be excellent. Everyone who worked on this ship could not have been nicer, ALL of them. We also found the food to be delicious and service was wonderful!! We'd definetley cruise Carnival again but hopefully on a ship with a quieter Adult Area. Movies at night by the pool was fun.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Our cabin was lovely for my husband & I. Roomy enough for two of us. I did like that the shower had a shower curtain and was not a small corner shower with 2 plastic doors. Our 3 adult children, 18, 21 & 23 were good in a balcony cabin also except when it came time to sleep. There is no drop down bed in the cabin. The small couch gets a rolled up mattress on it and the bolster pillows get put between the bed and couch to make a 3rd bed. We made this work but next time would make sure we get a cabin with 3 'real' beds in it. So the kids never had a couch to leave things on because it was made into a bed and stayed that way for the entire 8 day cruise.

Port Reviews

Aruba

We got off the ship, hopped into a cab, which are right when you walk off the ship. Aruba was beautiful, I would not book another cruise with afternoon/evening port times. We didnt like not being there in the morning until the late afternoon. We arrived in port at 1:00pm (I think, if not it was 2:00pm) left port at 10:00pm but we got back on the ship by 7:00 because everything closes by 6:00pm and restaurants were very expensive. We decided to just eat another great meal in the diningroom.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Day before we sailed we went to Epcot.
