A seven day winter get away.
Our next door neighbors, my wife and I had a very enjoyable experience on the Rhapsody of the Seas. This was our second trip to these ports but on different ships.
The Rhapsody of the Seas was older but extremely well taken care of and super clean.
Toured the island at our leisure, stopping at highest point for scenic view, a ride along the beach fronts and a stop a local waterfront restaurant
Scheduled for cave-tubing, however it was cancelled due to flooding in the caves. Went to the mayan ruins at Altun Ha and truly enjoyed the day....only 1 1/2 hr ride each way vs. longer ride times at other ports to see mayan ruins.
Went to the beaches at the last stop of the trolley service, YaYa beach was not available but found a great alternative nearby with chairs, umbrellas for no cost as long as you purchased some drinks or food.
We went to Panchos Backyard for lunch ....great drinks and food...and shopped the main street.
We live just north of Tampa....easy to access cruises from this port.
