Royal Caribbean has identified that Better Matters. Sailed from Galveston, Texas to Cozumel Mexico, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Parking in Galveston is a breeze. You can go online and prepay at the Port of Galveston Parking. Embarkation was smooth, have all your papers ready, its a walk in the park. Security lines were a bit long, they need more than three screening areas. Disembarkation was just has easy, they got us off the ship before the scheduled times. Again, have your papers in order and Customs will be no issue.

The Ship is just right, if you don't like the large crowds, then the Liberty and its sister ships, are the ones for you...less than 3000 guest. We had a Balcony Stateroom and it was just wonderful, clean and our Steward was friendly, knowledgeable and catered to whatever we asked of him. Actually, all the staff were on par, very helpful, always smiling. There was one dining room server who may have had a bad day, we all get those, but service was still good. If all you wanted to do on a cruise was eat then Royal is for you...Food in dining rooms or in Windjammer (buffet) will rival any five star restaurant...really! We will cruise with Royal again and again...we actually booked our next cruise while on-board - discounts apply ;).

What I really want to tell you about is an excursion in Jamaica. Bamboo Beach Club - Charlotte, Shanteel, Tianna and David. This is a simple Beach excursion either VIP or basic, we took the VIP and it was the best choice. It included lounge chairs, entertainment, food and drinks. From the moment we stepped on the bus - clean, air conditioned, driven by David and lots of info about Jamaica and what to expect at the Beach Club, by the ladies - the service was non-stop. Jamaican Tapas (Small plates of local dishes), Jerk Chicken, Lobster main course. Local Beer, Rum drinks. There are several other staffers at the club and food and drinks kept coming non-stop, until it was time to go. The beach was clean, good music and several dancers put on two 10 minute shows which they did along the beach strip, so you could walk to another area of the beach and see it over and over. This was the best excursion we've been on, and we've been on several. If you go to Jamaica - Bamboo Beach Club (VIP) is the excursion to take.
