It has been about 8 years since we cruised in the Caribbean. We wanted to experience some sun and warmth. RCL offered a good price for this particular cruise and we decided that it was time to experience the islands again. This was our 5th cruise with RCL and as usual, they did a good job in most areas. However, if you do not drink a lot and benefit from the daily package, it is way too pricey to have a few drinks onboard. I remember when they offered a wine package. No more. I had 2 glasses of wine in 10 days and hubby bought a single bucket of beer. We had our drinks while onshore. While the food was well-presented and quite tasty, and the servers as usual were extremely good, trying to sit with new friends in the anytime dining room was an exercise in futility. We reserved the same time each night but were not successful in being able to sit with friends. IT appeared that there were too many people trying to do the same job and everyone was confused. Entertainment was the best we have experienced on RCL. Embarkation was smoothly handled and quick.. We were happy with the disembarkation as well. As usual we chose an inside cabin for economy and it was serviced very well. We would like to cheer on Grant O and feel he has the attributes to become an excellent cruise director. We did sign up for a future cruise while on board as RCL has a good product. Just lower the price of your drinks and you will sell more.
