Sail Date: Feb 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Picked this as both wanting Monsters of Rock and sailed once on RCL, I wanted to give them another go...... not disappointed, but need a non themed cruise for the real RCL experience.

I was saddened to find the aerial acts had been removed from this ship approximately 6 months earlier- given the design of the Centrum, I'm sure it would've been something to see.

We did not use any food venue other than the Windjammer- most were agreeing the food was boring and meat dishes were dry; I did think the vegetable dishes were very good- salads were just average. The pizza I sampled was horrid, desserts were mediocre. At least they had a decent tea selection. I looked at Park Cafe a couple of times, but decided while the buffet was mediocre, at least there was selection.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Not really sure why it would be called Deluxe......not a bad room, but felt decidedly smaller then any I've ever had- 11. It IS in a pretty convenient area of the ship.

Certainly the smallest shower stall, smallest sofa seating, and balcony- given it's location.

Especially given this being a hard rock cruise, the room was very quiet; other than the "activities" of the couple in a neighboring cabin .......

Port Reviews

Tampa

Precruise days in Tampa included walking Riverwalk, pleasant and safe....and also buying a pass to use on the trolley and exploring Ybor City- fun shopping and learning the history.

The trolley is convenient and the drivers all pleasant. I can see how partying bar crowds would have a good night in Ybor.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Given the nature of this cruise, we were not off of the ship very long. We just walked the road around the port area and shopped a bit; and enjoyed a Caymian brew. It was a pleasure talking with the lass running the liquor store- I enjoy talking with locals wherever we go.

I can say based on a previous stop here, the excursion which includes Stingray City and Snorkling the Barrier Reef are a blast!!

Cozumel

Again, very limited time off the ship in anticipation of entertainment on ship...again explored the cruise line influenced (I'd guess owned) shopping area at the port; and walked a bit outside. Unless you go several miles to town, there's very little near the port. There were several local vendors and taxis; I was hoping for more....on a cruise there years ago we did book into an all day pass at a resort and really did enjoy the snorkeling and lunch.
