I just returned from a quick trip aboard Carnival Victory, and figured I would toss in my two cents on that particular ship, so if anyone is interested in a review, here ya go!

We boarded and left late due to the need to stock the ship for construction, but the boarding process went quickly and was painless. Disembarkation was hands down the most well organized, easy, flawless end to any cruise I have been on. Marcelo was a master at pacing the process and it never felt crowded. I walked right off the ship (group 4), grabbed my bag and stood behind just three passengers in the CBP line. It was completely stress free.

I was asked the first afternoon to choose morning or evening service. I chose evening, I asked for ice daily, and asked for a robe. Racles often popped in during the day while I was out and made the bed, and then did evening turn down service as requested, so I guess old habits die hard. I appreciated all that he did for me. I was bummed that there was no service the first evening. On a four day cruise, you want service every night if you love the towel animals the way I do. I ended up getting just two towel animals during the cruise, and on the last night, a towel laid on the bed in the shape of a heart. There was always ice, but I did have to ask for the complimentary water that should have been in the cabin, and was only given one bottle. I also had to ask for a room service menu. The cabin steward kept my towels stocked, trash emptied, and the bathroom clean, which is really all that was needed.
