This was a bit bigger than we like but it never seemed crowded. Weather didn't cooperate on our many sea days, we were able to entertain ourselves up until the last few rainy days. The ship is older, still has wooden lockers on the promenade for life jackets (charming). Our cabin had the most space for storage than any other ship I've been on. I have to mention the captain..he was a hoot! He started his daily briefings with a "youhoooo" and ended with a crisp "bye bye". He was very visible all over the ship, from napkin folding, ukele lessons and calling bingo numbers, he clearly enjoyed being with guests. The enthusiasm trickled down to the staff, everyone we encountered were happy and outgoing. They all loved the captain...there's a life lesson in there somewhere.
I didn't like the buffet set up, it wasn't open, had to go through a line funneled into the buffet area. Food in the dining room was good, with hints of great. The hamburgers and pizza by the pool were better than they should have been.
Lots of sea days but not good weather, we ran out of steam on the next to last day...ready to go home..that's never happened before
Cabin was in a convenient midship location. Plenty of room for 3 of us in the closet. Deck is covered, no sun
We rented a car in each port and split it 5 ways...pp cost was about 12$. We saw everything from tthe cruise tours and so much more. Highly recommend renting a car, you could even follow the tour bus...
