17th of November 2016 I went on my first ever overseas holiday and first ever cruise on the Carnival Legend. I can tell you from day 1 to day 9 it was the best experience of my life. Getting through customs and then getting on the ship wasn’t a lengthy process and was rather quicker than I thought it was going to be. From the moment, I stepped foot onto the ship I was at my happiest. I’m 24 and can tell you anyone my age would absolutely adore a cruising experience. I travelled with my mum, brother (21), his girlfriend (20), my aunty and grandmother. I shared a room with my mum in room 4123 my brother and his girlfriend a few rooms down the hall and my aunty and grandmother 2-minute walk down the hall.

I’m going to start off with the weather. It wasn’t the best and most days we had rain but I wasn’t letting that get to me. Leaving Sydney, it was hot and sunny but the next couple of days at sea were raining, wasn’t cold though (but that might be me because I don’t get cold) we had to change the itinerary and we couldn’t go to Lifou because the water was too rough. We did make it to Mare, Noumea and Isle of Pines, which isle of pines being our last island stop we had amazing sunny weather perfect for swimming in the ocean.

Now for food, there was so much different options for food I couldn’t believe it! All the food was just amazing everywhere we ate was so good. I especially loved Bonsai Sushi, small price to pay for amazing quality and quantity. Buffet was always pretty busy but was so good and so many options for breakfast lunch and dinner (only had tea once in buffet). We ate at the Truffles Restaurant every night for dinner except for the first night and 1 other night. Food changed every day which I loved because that gave you lots of options. Best part is you can have as many courses as you want! First night we ate at Nouveau which is $45 ahead but so worth it, most people saved it for elegant night, but we chose the first night. Having 24-hour pizza and ice-cream was awesome but was too exhausted from always doing something all day to take advantage of it at the middle of the night haha.
