We were looking for something different for the Christmas break, and sailing round exotic locations like Bali and having the opportunity to see Komodo Dragons in their natural habitat seemed an opportunity too good to miss!
After sailing with Celebrity, we were really looking forward to experiencing what sister company Azamara had to offer, and were not disappointed! The smaller ship and friendlier onboard experience were great, and the ship was a definite step up from Celebrity.
We were initially worried that the smaller ship would mean that there was a distinctive lack of facilities, but this was not the case. The onboard entertainment was not the same as we have seen before, because the Cabaret Lounge does not compare to the theatres on larger ships, but the entertainers onboard were terrific and worked so hard.
Our cabin was smaller than we have ben used to on other cruise lines, but was in a great location on the ship, and was beautifully decorated, with great touches like lighting in the wardrobes and a complimentary minibar. The bathroom was tiny, but overall the cabin was great.
I have to say that although we knew that we were in a restricted view cabin, I was surprised that right outside the window was a lifeboat, which meant that to see outside we had to peer through the lifeboat windows!
Singapore is a great destination, with so many things to see and do. The Night Safari and Marina Bay light show are must sees, and Raffles is a tourist staple.
Not much to see or do
Disappointing
