Bed next to the bath, average size balcony with room for two chairs and a small table. No overhang so if weather is inclement, then you cannot sit out there. soot was only a problem on some days when the wind blew in a specific direction, but our room steward had it washed down daily. it is a long way from the elevators which is excellent if you want the exercise and the peace and quietness.

The best snorkel adventure I have ever been on was with Woodwind Snorkel and Sail.  We were out for 4 hours and stopped in two locations for approximately 1 hour at each place. The tour operator was knowledgeable and participated in our snorkel showing and explaining what we are seeing. First time I have come across prescription googles. While not my exact prescription it was a much better experience with them than without!

This island has always been a favourite of mine and this time we took an island tour and all I can say is WOW, the scenery around the coast was breathtaking and to have someone proudly show us their island and the improvements therein was something i was glad to have done

It was tooted as a 5 star adventure, but seriously when every catamaran is located in the same area within 500 meters it is not so personal. Why didn't they split up the locations to reduce the number of people swimming in the same area? Also, as there was snorkeling available i saw close to 200 people swimming without snorkel life jackets or other identifying clothing so am quit surprised everyone found there way back to the right catamaran. Part of the excursion included seeing the turtles. however, when I found out that the only way to see the turtles was to have the locals feed them in and amongst the 200 swimmers, I did not participate. Especially after the totally different experience I had on Bonaire where preserving the habitat takes priority, i was not happy that the turtles in Barbados were being lured there for human interest

We were supposed to go out with the chef to the market to get local produce and then on to the fish market where we would see the chef select fish for our dinner and then arrive at the Tuscan Grille at the appropriate time for a specially prepared dinner. 
We arrived at the market and saw many local and fresh vegetables. I asked the chef what he was going to select and he said nothing, as he had the vegetables on board. Then we were taken on a a bit of a drive to a lovely marina and then to the top of a cliff overlooking the marina where we had what the brochure described as ' delicacies' which ended up bring banana muffins. When we got to the fish market, the morning's catch had already been taken away to the local hotels. We saw a freezer full of fish filets. I again asked when would we see the fish being brought in and how and what he would be selecting for our dinner and his response was the Executive chef would come back in the afternoon when the local fish is brought in again and he would select the fish to me, the $139.00 paid for the experience to eat in Tuscan was overpriced because at the end of the day that was the experience. We went to the Shore excursion desk before the dinner and received a full refund.  A very disappointing day.

We have been to St. Kitts several times and this time we elected to take a tour over to Nevis. The tour started with a ferry ride of approximately 40 minutes over to the island where we were met by our guide who gave us a 3 hour round trip tour of the island and then dropped us off at a restaurant on the most beautiful beach. The restaurant (sorry, I do not remember the name) offered up locally caught fish and other varied fare (approximate cost $15-$25 USD). The walk to the beach from the restaurant was under 4 minutes and the beach was clean and there were chairs available. Because our port stay was cut short our guide took us to the dock closest to St. Kitts and a powerboat (600HP engines) raced us across the water to the island where a bus met us for the ride back to the ship. Another very scenic island. Next time, I will just take a day trip to Nevis and sit on their beaches. A lovely day

I wasn't so sure about our overnight in Curacao, but actually it was very nice to be able to come back to the ship for a dinner and then head out again to walk the streets at night in this lovely port.The positives - the food was lovely, staff both on the hotel side and the ship's crew could not be more pleasant or helpful.
