Although my personal circumstances put a huge damper on my cruise experience onboard the Carnival Miracle, I will say that there were no shortage of things to do. The staff was generally pleasant, the activities were well planned, and there was truly something for everybody. Some of the entertainment staff were less than enthusiastic, but they were also young. The guest services teams were extremely helpful in dealing with nearby cabins who were smoking on their balcony, and the smoke came right into my cabin.
The muster drill was arduous, although it was disclosed later on that this was more because of the coast guard than of Carnival or any particular guest. Tender process in Cabo was less than stellar, but there were also two other large cruise ships at the time. I slipped a crew member $20 and got on one of the priority tenders, just in time for my pre-planned excursion (not made through carnival)
Cabin 6218 is very nice, midship on the port side. Only one cabin next to you . Excellent views. Bring two bungee cords to prop balcony door open and sleep like a baby.
Check in and boarding process was as efficient and friendly as possible
