Wife and I choose this cruise to restore our faith in RCL! We were on the Anthem in 2016 and had the worst food and service in over 35 cruises. Loved the Anthem ship, but the rest was a nightmare. So reading all the good reviews for the Grandeur we thought we would give her a try. We were amazed at the great service, excellent food and the nicest fellow passengers we had the good fortune of meeting. I can see why there are so many repeat loyal cruisers. Many on her B2B, some with 20 or more sailings on her.
We stayed pre cruise at the best western plus Elkridge,MD booked through great guy Bruce at trinity reservations, $129 parking, good direct shuttle, and breakfast. We will stay there in the future, safe area, Timbuktu resteraunt down the road great crab cakes. Shuttle to and from prompt good service.
Check in a breeze on shuttle at 9 am on ship at 11 am.
Great Deck 7 one down to diamond lounge, 2 up to pool, James the attendant was the best.
Decent room no fridge, shower curtain clinging to you, no room under bed for suitcases.
But a great room non the less.
Stayed at best western plus Elkridge ,MD great spot. Crab cakes Timbuktu rest. Down the road. Trinity reservations $129, very good safe we will use again!
It was overcast, little rain, took $15 cab to the beach by their airport. Water was alright. This island we usually go to pigeon island beach, but it's $40 for long cab ride, based on weather, we made the right choice.
Cab to maho beach, airport beach, lots of fun, nice water. Google it see the video, give it a try, it's pretty cool, go at least once. One of our favs.
