This was our third cruise with RCCL. The Oasis of the Seas is the most fantastic ship, that I have ever been on. The entertainment options were terrific. My wife & I saw the aquatic show (compares favorably to Cirque du Soleil's O at the Bellagio in Las Vegas). We also saw the ice show, and two of the shows in the Opal Theater. We did not see the performance of Cats, as we had seen it on Broadway. The two acts that we saw were a Beatles show and Ron Lucas, a Las Vegas ventriloquist/comedian. Both of these performances were outstanding. Ron Lucas was flown in, when the production of Come Fly with Me, was cancelled due to issues with the aerial rigging, used in the show. As an introduction to Mr. Lucas we were shown clips from his performances entertaining several US Presidents as well as Queen Elizabeth. Every night there was entertainment at Jazz on 4, Dazzles, Comedy Live, the Globe Pub and in Central Park.

We had a balcony stateroom # 12190. The stateroom was quite and very nice. We thought that RCCL could have provided more drawer space. Our cabin attendant was Riccardo George. He was terrific. He kept our cabin spotless.

We ate most of our breakfasts and all of our dinners in the main dinning room. Both the food and the service were very good. At breakfast, the omelets and eggs took a while to come to the table. Scrambled Eggs were available on the buffet, You order off the menu and still get items from the buffet. My only complaint with dinner, was that some of the food was not hot enough for my liking. Every evening, the dinner menu had a nice variety of choices for starters, entrée and dessert. There was a classics section of the menu, which had the same items available every night. Service was excellent.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Port was crowded, however check in was completed in 20-30 minutes. The traffic delay getting in probably took longer than 30 minutes.

Labadee

We took the ferry for a quick trip to Columbus Beach. Very nice beach, lounging under rows of palm trees, listening to live music. Food was served at a buffet. It was terrific. No long lines at this location. Only thing that was strange was that ferry on took passengers one way. You had to walk or take a tram to get back to the dock.

Cozumel

Went to Paradise Beach. Taxi costs $16.00 plus tip. each way. Paradise Beach is great. You pay for food and drinks. I thought it was a better deal, than some of the all inclusive's..unless you are a big drinker. There was a nice shopping area at the cruise ship port.

Falmouth

Took a 3 1/2 hour excursion to Montego Bay. This was purchased from the ship. The tour guide supplied some interesting commentary, but the tour itself was disappointing.
