Myself, my husband and 2 year old son sailed the Carnival Glory on December 31, 2016. Apart from the fact that travelling with a two year old isn't exactly a vacation, this cruise was absolutely fantastic and we have very little to harp on. I admit I was a little nervous before boarding the ship after reading many poor reviews, but after our cruise, I can honestly say I have NO idea what so many of you are complaining about. Truly, this cruise was wonderful from start to finish, inside and outside.

We purchased Faster to the Fun, which was invaluable. Highly recommend you purchase this for a future Carnival Cruise, as we sailed right on the ship (pun intended) ahead of scores of other people waiting in huge lineups. Check in was a breeze, and we were on the ship at noon sipping a cold drink. Purchasing Faster to the Fun also gets you first on tender boats, first off the ship, and your own designated Guest Services lineup (or lack thereof, so to speak).

The food - THE FOOD. It was absolutely fantastic. Guy's Burger Joint was hands down the best burger I've ever had. Most days my husband and I had two of them. The taco and burrito joint were also fantastic. Service is quick in all restaurants. We paid to eat at the Emerald Steak House twice, which was well worth it. Fantastic meal both times, unparalleled service, and great wine. Highly recommend. We only ate at the buffet for breakfast, so I really can't comment on the selection or quality. However, breakfast at the buffet was always good, the lineups short, the selection extensive. You can't possibly go hungry at breakfast, as there's something for everybody (even picky toddlers). We chose Your Time dining, and had only fantastic experiences each night. We never had to wait for a table, which was nice. The entire dining staff are to be commended - they work like dogs, always pleasant, and can't do enough for you. They were always chatting with us, making napkin animals for our son, and always made an effort to converse with us and ask how our trip was unfolding. If we wanted more of something at dinner, they couldn't be happier to get it for us. They were always high-fiving my son, always trying to make him laugh and making every effort to see him smile. These people are away from their families for months on end, and they continue to be exceptionally pleasant and friendly - kudos to the entire dining team for being simply wonderful!
