My five friends have never cruised Celebrity so I suggested for this year's cruise we branch out from Port Canaveral and Royal and experience what I consider a class act cruise line - Celebrity. They didn't disappoint. The girls loved Celebrity and the Silhouette. The staff were phenomenal - so friendly and helpful at all times. We considered treating ourselves to a specialty restaurant one night, but the food in the dining room was so consistently great that we skipped that and spent the extra money on an additional spa treatment. The Canyon Spa was also very. nice. The food up in the Oceanview buffet was also always good. There was a fabulous selection to choose from and the staff up there were great.
The staterooms are roomy and well appointed and the bathroom the best on any line. We were able to open our verandas and have easy access to each of our three staterooms. We booked on deck 6 where the verandas are partially onstructed but your view of the ocean really wasn't blocked and it was no problem. You just can't look directly down. We had the free classic beverage package and that worked out perfectly. We never had a problem with not getting anything we ordered.
The specialty acts on the ship were great. Loved every one of them, especially the Tenors of Rock and the Flyboys. The production numbers featured lots of costume changes and lots of dancing but frankly they were a little too modern and all over the place for our taste and didn't make much sense. Didn't care for the music either as most wasn't recognizable. We skipped the last one because of this. The singing acts in the various bar venues were all great. The ship was in very good condition and well maintained. Everyone working there acted like they were glad to be there.
Roomy, clean, plenty of storage, huge bathroom, roomy veranda with nice big chairs and a big table. Excellent.
Great tour and great driver - Mailman.
Great three hour private tour of San Juan
