I recently had the opportunity to take a cruise on the Norwegian Pearl. I sailed on January 25th on a 4-day cruise to Cozumel Mexico. I had high expectations for this cruise, as I’ve heard nothing but good things from everyone who I talked to about Norwegian in the past. I took all the necessary steps and prepared myself for this cruise by booking everything so that it would flow easily. I flew from Tampa Florida to Miami Florida to make the experience easy and care free as I wanted to have a relaxing vacation. The flight was perfect with American Airlines I was very happy with their level of service and so was the Uber ride to the port which only look about 15 minutes.

Once arriving at the port that’s where all the issues began it set the mood for most of the trip. I was greeted with an ambassador of Norwegian who was talking to a fellow coworker while I was waiting for my paperwork who was using foul language and then tried to correct herself when she noticed that there was someone at the desk. I disregarded that as I just wanted to get the paperwork and go through security to check in. When I received the paperwork I asked a Norwegian representative for some clarification and I was told “It’s Not Rocket Science Just Fill It Out”. At this point I was very annoyed at the level of customer service that was being provided which seemed to be Norwegians level of customer service. It took a lot longer then anticipated to get on the boat and even when we all got on the rooms were still not ready. We needed to carry our bags around until they finally finished the rooms. I was very understanding and I didn’t really have any issues just wish it had been a little bit smother of a process.

The room was a Ocean View which was very nice (a bit smaller than other ships) and the boat took some getting used to but it very easy to navigate. The ship was clean and there were lots of activities throughout the day but finding a spot to sit by the pool was very difficulty as there were not enough chairs out so it was a hunt for a lounge chair.

Obstructed Oceanview

The cabin was clean and always attended to. The view from the room was very nice and the size of the room was a little smaller then expected but it worked. Over all the cabin was nice.
