Although we were met at the pier with every news outlet to find out a woman was coming out in a body bag and her husband in cuffs, it was a great time.  There were no delays and no indication of a crime scene on board... which all seemed a little odd, but business must go on for Carnival.  The weather was great, the food was plentiful and the service was pretty darn good.  There was never a moment we had to wait for a server to come by for drinks... then again they get 15% every time they come so I too would be Johnny on the spot.  But they did a good job keeping you hydrated, that is for sure.  Staff was very friendly and helpful.  Better than most all-inclusive resorts we have been to.There were a few Bachelor and Bachelorette parties and I was a little surprised how far security let people go with their drunken stupers.  Although it was fun to watch the lap dances at the pool and people stumbling on each other and falling, it probably was not the best environment for the kiddies going down the slide at the same pool to witness.  I don't think I would consider this cruise for my kids... it was kind of small, a lot of drinking going on and just not much for them to do outside.  They do have the kids club, but I think most activity was inside for them. All in all it was a good 4 night trip.  4 nights was just about right for a ship this size and to be around the type of people on the cruise.  If you like to party, this is defenitely the cruise for you.  If you are looking for a fun family get away, I would probably steer clear of this cruise.Serenity deck is the most mellow area to hang outside.  The most upper deck and pool is good to as you have a lot of space without much crowding.  The main pool area with slide was the most congested area, always had music going and the most party atmosphere happening.  There was a level for pretty much every mood you were in.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was great - we had a penthouse suite on the Upper Deck.  For as drunk as everyone on the ship was, we never heard noise in the hallway late at night.  Closet was big, bathroom was small, not sure if it was bigger than a normal room.  Plenty of room to spread out in the room with a nice couch, flat screen tv, refrigerator and bar accessories.  Balcony was decent and pretty big.  Only downside was the people next to us smoked on their balconly so you could smell it when outside and sometimes you could also smell it in the room.  Also easy to get around the whole ship from our room... right in the middle of everything.
