We are mostly Silversea cruisers. Silversea was sold out so we tried Oceania. The ship is beautiful. Modern but not gaudy. Our cabin (penthouse) was very nice with a walkin closet. Similar to Silversea but more modern. Our butler was fair. Definitely not on a par with any butler on Silversea. He asked us to fill out our evaluation recommending him so he could keep his job! The food was spectacular. Much better than Silversea. The wine selection was extremely good although not inexpensive. Most wine bottles were $75-100.

We don't go to the shows on either ship. My major complaint was the sophistication of the passengers. Older clientele which is normal but tacky dress and lots of ball caps. We did not fit in. If Oceania raised their prices they would get all of the Silversea passengers.

Almost forgot. We had to tender in from only one port. St Barts. We tried to get off the ship for town around 11am. There was an hour and a half wait for a tender. Ridiculous. They only used 2 tenders. Not sure why they didn't use more. Lazy? Everyone complained. I told the cruise director that I didn't know we had to get tickets to board the tender. He yelled at me that it was in the comments newsletter and they made announcements. We were in our cabin so we didn't hear the announcements and our butler didn't tell us. I couldn't believe he yelled at me.

Cabin was very nice. I like the fact that it us wider. Chairs on terrace were nice.
