This was our first time cruising with Oceania. We had cruised with all the top rated cruise lines like Crystal, Silver Sea and Regent. We have high expectations and were looking for something with exceptional esthetics as well as good food. I had been looking at their ships and itineraries for some time, especially when they launched Riviera because I always liked the looks of their public rooms and loved the idea of going on smaller ships like the Regatta.

Finally a brochure came in the mail and we jumped on a carribean cruise that seemed to have all the ports we were wanting to go to. I was actually more excited to see the decor in the ship from the pictures I had seen and the fact the designere was Ralph Lauren. We noticed that they referred to themselves as the finest cuisine at sea but we had already experienced fabulous food on the other 6 star lines so werent expecting Oceania to really make a big difference in that area. Well we were so wrong!!

The food was amazing and not just in their incredible specialty restaurants but in their gorgeous dining room as well. The only dining room that comes close is Regent's Compass Rose which has amazing food as well but Oceania's decor in their dining room was stunning and so peaceful in the mornings if you had breakfast there. It features a stunning crystal chandelier that was apparently enormously expensive to build but the effects are jaw dropping.

We stayed at the rear of the ship to avoid noise and found it quite peaceful. The room was lovely and comfortable.
