Great package price and interesting itinerary. Food in restaurants good range and quality. Garden cafe less relaxed as it is often busy and seating difficult to find .At quieter times it had a great choice of food and willing and competent staff. It can be avoided though using the three main dining rooms. Taste and Savor are both small, quiet and well managed.Freestyle dining is one of the things we like on NCL. At busy times here the staff always said a 15 - 20 minute wait, but it was never more than 5. Perhaps they hoped we would go to the garden cafe. We never did. We had an 'ultimate drinks package' and my husband could not have water or coffee. These are all he has. Coffee was not easily available either. Princess cruises did a coffee card, and my husband wants to go with them next time.

Cabin staff were attentive and willing, though in general the crew seemed under more pressure, less relaxed, and more nervous than on our previous 3 NCL cruises.

The entertainment was disappointing. Please abandon the Rock of Ages. It is past its sell by date. Burn the Floor is also not that fresh any more and there was an over-reliance on it. On the last three sea days there was a definite feeling that the entertainment was perfunctory. One new show, Oh what a Night, was great but shown twice and in between we had Burn the Floor, again, that most people had seen. Other entertainment around the ship was also stale and uninspiring. We felt that the 3 days were a bit too much effort. Cinema in the theatre could be a possibility? Why is it not possible to get the times for cabin cinema? We were given a list of films (the wrong list too)that are on a continuous loop. Pot luck if you got one at its start. Free films hard to see. This was another example of how there are subtle, and not so subtle , ways to get guests to pay for stuff. All listed cabin films are $9.95.
