We didn’t have the best of starts to our Dream Cruise, a seven hour delay leaving Gatwick which resulted in us losing our first afternoon and evening on board.

Transfer from Airport to Ship was the worst I have experienced in five cruises. No immigration / customs forms provided on the flight, these needed filled in before joining a large queue in a very dated dusty corridor to the carpark. Once documents were handed in you joined another queue for a very old fashioned and dirty mini bus / small coach to the port. Kept seated on a very cramped and hot bus for over 20 minutes while second part of customs procedure took place, then had to wait longer for a safety briefing. Then joined another long queue to complete embarkation and collect cabin details.

I paid for pre-booking of a cabin and selected my cabin eleven months prior to joining the ship, this didn’t guarantee my cabin as I was advised it had been double booked!!! This happened to many people on the ship, with one couple moved from deck nine to deck five for the same reason. £50 compensation was received and pre-booking fee returned.
