I loved about 80% of everything about our Norwegian cruise, but I just can't let go of the items that disappointed me. The good stuff is real good, but no different than other reviews, so I'll elaborate on the downfalls other cruisers may wish to consider.

First and foremost is the bottled water. NCL no longer allows cruisers to carry water onboard. Purchasing water on the ship, we were charged over $6 per bottle. We only drink bottled water when travelling, and felt we were taken advantage of. Admittedly, this was a small part of our costs and may seem pretty, but this upset us enough that we would not be comfortable returning to NCL.

Show quality was superb on the ship, but we took the same cruise a year ago and were disappointed that most shows were nearly identical in content. Even the famously improvisational Second City had different cast members but performed the same comedy routine. The cruise magician is a fabulous entertainer, but the illusions were unchanged. Song, dance, acrobats, lights- all the same as before. My advice: don't repeat NCL cruises expecting new and evolving content.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IX

Cabin was exactly as expected, no more, no less. Thumbs up.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We visited the Money Bar for the day. Highly recommended for relaxing, good food and drinks, fair prices, below average but enjoyable snorkelling. On the water, but no real beach here...

Costa Maya

Great port, take a cab to the fishing village!

New Orleans

Embarking and disembarking is smooth here.
