As noted above, although the cabin was clean and our cabin attendant provided outstanding service, the maintenance issues (including the strong smell of diesel fumes at times) left us disappointed

In short, our experience was quite disappointing, as a result of:

•	Food poisoning

•	the RCI "bureaucratic shuffle"

•	Mediocre food quality

•	“In-Your-Face” marketing of upscale restaurants

•	Deferred maintenance, even though the boat recently returned from a drydock "facelift", and

•	Mediocre to awful musical theater shows in the Coral Theater

Here are the details:

FOOD POISONING.When we asked the maître-D at the main dining room the first night to switch our dinner time from the late 8:30 time to the early 6:00 seating (because our initial request for the 6:00 dinner time when booking had been denied), he advised us that if we really wanted good food, we should schedule with the upscale dining rooms, for a “modest” additional fee (of about $30/plate.
