Noticed several cutbacks from previous cruises. The dining wait staff is very short staffed. The days of your waiter remembering your name or preferences are gone. The average time receiving food after placing our order was 45 minutes. When our food was received, we were unable to find our waiter to ask for anything. After receiving baked potatoes, we waited 10 minutes to ask for sour cream two nights in a row. Forget ground pepper from a pepper mill or tartar sauce for fish. In his defense he seemed very hurried and stressed. Assistant waiters now assist more than one waiter and no longer work as a team. I understand the number of diners they serve is more like 30 ( I believe 18-20 was the previous number.) The bread choices were wonderful, desserts not so much.

The first morning the dining room had a line that went past the elevators. Someone from the dining room came along the line and told use to use the Windjammer, even though we could see empty tables.

Our lifeboat drill was outside and not inside like the newer ships. It was a long time to stand.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Well designed cabin with plenty of storage. I like the rounded bed which makes for less chance of bumping your knees. Cabin attendant was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the sheets were silky soft. Toiletries are no longer provided, one of several cutbacks we noticed. The AC was a problem and the room was very cold and the thermostat didn't work. We were given a blanket after complaining.
