Having chosen the Norwegian Dawn for our first cruise fourteen years ago, we decided to revisit NCL after a number of cruises with Cunard, Celebrity, Holland America and P&O. However we wished we had'nt.

The ship is enormous and there was a constant feeling of there being too many people. There were no quiet lounges and there was loud music paying in all the public areas constantly. The only places for peace and quiet were the stairs as the majority of the clientele could not be considered of being of an athletic persuasion.

The balcony cabin we had was adequate and did come with a bath although the separate toilet was rather cramped. It did have plenty of storage although not all of it was useable for holiday items.
