We are loyal to royal cruisers and wanted to try one of their big ships. Being Florida residents and Crown and Anchor members the price couldn't be beat. I have found that the bigger ships do tend to charge more for the cruises but they do offer many more things to do. We do not use the specialty restaurants so I can't comment on those. However, I thought the food in the dinning room was on par with their other, smaller ships. Nothing world changing but quite good and we never felt like it was disappointing. The Windjammer food, again, was on par with the smaller ships, however, I do like some of the choices available on the smaller ones.

For the entertainment, I wasn't expecting much from the Aquatheater, however we saw two shows and both were excellent and definitely worth seeing.

I have never been disappointed in the service on any of the royal ships. Oasis was no different. I find that if you treat the service staff with respect and understanding for what they have to do you will get that same respect back.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Most of the concern for the cabin was expressed by my wife. She felt like the bath room was somewhat smaller with less storage available. The counter top area in the cable seemed smaller, also with less storage available (our last cruise was the month before on Brilliance so the room was still fresh in our minds). My biggest complaint would be that the hanging closets are very close to the bed. Since our large luggage doesn't fit under the bed it is necessary for me to lift it up and over the bed and bedside table to get it into the closet.

Labadee

While I wasn't expecting it, visiting the local crafts shops proved to be an experience. The locals try very hard to convince you to buy from there stalls and are very willing to negotiate prices until they can wear you down and you feel the need to make the purchase. They were never difficult or rude, it is just something you need to be aware of and prepared for.

Falmouth

My wife did end up buying some high-end jewelry at the Diamonds Forever shop. Our expierence with, Sam, the owner was very positive and we would not hesitate to shop there again.
