This was our second time on Regal and our first time on Princess as Elite. Honestly, I don't think the Elite status had anything to do with it, but the service we received on this cruise from virtually every crew/staff member onboard was the best we have ever experienced! Our room steward (Edward) was over-the-top exceptional! The people throughout the ship were repeatedly helpful and if they didn't have the answer they went and found it. We had an issue with the drain running slow in our shower and it was fixed in less than 45 minutes from the time we alerted people to it. The purser's desk was super helpful and the personnel there always left us feeling like there was nothing that could not be done!

We were in a "sideways" inside cabin (as we had been last time) and it was roomy and cozy all at the same time, excellent design! The location was good for us because we like to walk. It was a bit towards the forward end of mid-ships so that we would use the stairs near the Princess theater most often (never used elevators) and then head towards the atrium area/international cafe if needed. If we were going to to the buffet or the pools we would just be happy to get in some extra walking as we headed aft before taking the stairs up.

The lido buffet was amazing as usual from the variety of salad offerings to the chocolate day towards the end of the cruise, complete with strawberries to dip in chocolate, yum! One thing we LOVE about Princess is the continuous availability of healthy food options. We didn't even gain any weight on this cruise since there is no urgency when one knows that the food will always be available! So much more MY choice about when to eat! The food throughout the ship was better than ever, the international cafe had so many tasty treats that we never had the chance to try them all. We had so many good food options we never even got to Alfredo's this time and we LOVE that place! One thing we ended up doing on sea days was getting our salads and treats from the buffet and sitting out by MUTS and eating while we watched a movie by the pool... how much better does it get than that!?!?

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We love FLL and went down a couple of days early so that we could unwind before the cruise. Lots of opportunities for walking around and we stayed at the Hilton Marina so we could walk to the beach. The weather was cool and cloudy so walking was our main activity, no lying out on the beach this time.

Princess Cays

Lovely beach stop, weather was great and we easily found lounges in the shade yet near the water.

Grand Turk

Pool area was a bit crowded since the Carnival ship arrived before us and so it was a challenge to find any shade. We just cut our visit short and enjoyed the ship!

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

As always, LOVE Grand Cayman!!! We walked from the pier to 7-mile beach and walked on the beach for a bit further until we reached a beautiful area where we had shaded lounges for $20. That beach is so amazing we forget until we are back there again! the sand is amazingly soft and white, the water is such a beautiful blue color... no other words. Was a great day outside in the warm sun!!!

Cozumel

shopped a bit and walked around a bit... then back to the ship. Planning on Playa Palancar next time!
