This was cruise number 10 with carnival. This cruise was a complete let down by carnival. I knew it was an older smaller ship so the badly worn out ship was ok for me. I normally book 3 rooms per cruise but this cruise we booked 10 for a total of 29 people. This cruise was a little special being that our son that normally cruises with us was killed this past year in a car wreck and would only be with us in spirit.

Getting on the ship...... we had FTTF for 3 of the 10 rooms. When my wife and I checked in, they said there was a problem and we would be escorted directly onto the ship before anyone else. We were escorted straight to GS to learn our room would not be ready for quite a while. The room steward spilled a large quantity of water just inside our door. All of our FTTF rooms were not ready until well after 3pm. Some of our priority luggage didn't get there until after 8pm. So much for FTTF.

Room steward was very bad. Never introduced himself and never called us by name like normal. The soap dispenser was not kept up in several rooms so the bar soap had to be used for some of the showers. Our room had the same towel animal every night while some rooms never received one. Robes, we had them in our room but some of the other rooms did not have them. We took many first time cruisers so they thought we received these special things because we have cruised carnival so much. I felt bad for them at the end. I didn't know I needed to check their rooms. TV...... small flat screen but only had a few channels. I didn't care but found out several of our rooms were this way. Read more
