We wanted to get away from the cold and this 10 day cruise fit the bill. We had never been to Dominica so there was something to look forward to.

The Royal is a very pretty ship, but I really miss the Promenade deck. If you want to walk around outdoors your only choice is to go to the track on the 18th deck. The wind at that level not only destroys whatever hairdo you have, but it could cause a small child to fly. Not exactly easy to get to and not at all pleasurable unless you are truly working out.

The Princess Theatre is way to small for a ship that size. In order to view the 815 pm show you need to start looking for a seat about 745pm. Same is true for other popular venues. They utilize the Piazza (Deck 5) for a lot. It is so LOUD!. This is where all the dancing is. Not a good place to dance because of the marble floor.
