I have been following cruise critic reviews ever since my wife and I booked our cruise of the Mediterranean from July 3rd to 15th.Over time I have read over 70 of these reviews and learned many valuable tips. I felt I was prepared for the trip and all the negatives associated with the cruise. I guess I hoped for the best but was ready for the worst.I don't know what people are expecting from a cruise, but some reviews are completely rediculous. The pre boarding took less than 10 minutes. The Ruby was absolutely stunning. The staff were gracious, helpful and always, and I mean always , working to keep the ship clean. Our room was fantastic and well prepared every day. Even the shower seemed a little wider then on previous cruises( It was still a snug fit though). The food was great and catered to everyone. From the pizza, burgers, veg burgers and ice cream by the pool, to the buffets with many good choices, to the dinners which were a visual and taste treat every night, my wife and I were always satisfied. With 3000 people, the ship never felt crowded and we never waited in line for anything. We always got a seat at a show and only waited for an elevator. The staff were always helpful, from the internet guy, to the DJ, to the guys at the international cafe to the buffet staff, I can't say enough about the quality of service and care.I applaud Princess for making our cruise a wonderful and memorable experience. We would not hesitate to go on another Princess cruise and hopefully, in the near future, we will. To all those people who complained about everything, maybe you should just stay home.
