This was our 6th cruise in the past 7 years and the quality has gone down every year. For example the main evening entertainment was mediocre at best. The comedy shows were okay. The evening meals were pretty nice, the dinner crew were exceptional. House keeping was awesome, we've never been let down by them. The state rooms on the Freedom are starting to show their age. The ship in general is looking run down, a lot of rust. The huge whale tail is rust stained.

Our departure was delays because of fog and Carnival was very good at keeping us up to date with new departure times. The prescheduled check in times is genius, it really makes the check in more tolerable. Self carry on debarkation is also the only way to go. We were the last deck to debark using the self carry and we were only in line 30 minutes or less.

Cruise Director Malcolm is quick witted and awesome, made it entertaining.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Cabin's are looking run down, still functional but looking old.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Cozumel is Cozumel, there were 7 cruise ships in port and Cozumel was still a pleasant adventure. This was our sixth time in Cozumel and we have never experienced a problem. Cheap drinks away from the port and expensive at the port establishments, e.g. Fat Tuesdays. The crystal clear turquoise water is a sight to see.

Galveston

We only ate lunch on Beach Road, no problems.
