We went with a group of dance friends. This ship had super dance music. We also enjoyed the entertainment and comedians. The dining room dinners were excellent. We were not so impressed with the buffet and lunch options. We are Platinum on Carnival, but really enjoy Princess. Our room steward and his staff were great. We did have an issue on the last sea day. Sitting on the back of the ship, we kept noticing black specks falling on our Kindle screen. I then noticed I had black soot looking spots all over my white bathing suit cover and my husband had black oil spots all over his khaki shorts. I tried to wash it out with no luck. They were both ruined. We did the excisions on our own. Walked the Malecon in Puerto Viarta. It was nice and the Cathedral is beautiful. In Mazatlan we walked the blue line and on to the cliff divers. Got one on the "golf carts" to the ferry to Stone Island. Loved it all. In Los Cabo we used whalewatchcabo.com to go whale watching. It was AMAZING!

Port Reviews

Los Angeles

Quick embarkation. Port not really "pleasing to the eye"

Puerto Vallarta

We got a cab and a group of us went to the Malecon. We had the driver take us to the far end ($5 pp). The Cathedral is beautiful. We walked, shopped, had a $2 beer and enjoyed the water and sights the mile and half to the beginning of the boardwalk. Took the taxi back to the ship ($4pp). Very Nice

Mazatlan

We were a little nervous about the security here, which totally was a non-issue. Turned out to be one of our all-time favorites. We walked the blue line (2/3 mi) enjoyed going in the old theater ($1).,talking to the volunteers in the blue shirts, ending up in the "park". We then walked down to the Malecon, turning right walking to the cliff divers! Took the "golf cart" to the ferry to Stone Island. Walked the beach and enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere there. It is a beautiful/clean port. We Loved it!

Cabo San Lucas

Booked whale watching with whalewatchcabo.com The office is an easy walk around the harbor. A little hard to find, you have to walk all the way through the hallway of shops, it is on your left. They were very organized and nice. We left right on time. Only 6 in our group with Nacho as our guide. Wow, we saw so many whales and calves. One breached about 50 ft from out boat, totally surprising everyone -we were not even aware it was beside us! We saw so many calves jumping and playing. It was AMAZING. Lifetime memories.
