We have cruised several times with 4 different cruise lines and wanted to try out RC. I was disappointed. I've heard so many great things about RC, I expected more. I'm not sure if it's just this ship or RC altogether. From the first day, we had multiple plumbing issues, including our sink and shower not draining at all. I had to go to guest services severel times after it not getting fixed. Unfortunately, the man I spoke with their was quite rude at first. He offered to switch our room (not an upgrade though) but the last thing I wanted to do on day 2 was pack up everything I had just packed. I wanted it to just be fixed, but he wouldn't guarantee that, or that there would still be a room available if I didn't say yes to moving right away. However, after the initial upset, they did call a few times the next couple of days to make sure everything was ok. But the sink never did drain right.
For the Pro's and Con's
Con's- the food was just mediocre. Not up to the standards of any of the ships we've been with before. Some meals were good, but others were barely edible, definitely not consistent. The entertainment performed by the ships singers and dancers was not very good. The entertainers are talented but the shows were just boring and not well thought out. That was disappointing because the shows are my favorite part of a cruise. The rooms are very old, nothing is up to date. There's stains on the carpet. The beds are so uncomfortable, about as hard as the floor. Everything starts late in the day. There's not even live singers in the bars until after 10:00.
The cabin has all old furnishings. Has not been done in the 15 years it's been in service. There's stains on the carpet. The bed is horrible.
There is a lot of storage places
Old San Juan is a must see
Very friendly people there, beautiful beaches
