We decided to take a 14 day winter break to the Canary Islands. We left from Bristol after a slight delay and arrived in Las Palmas about 8:00pm. The Thomson staff at the airport were helpful and getting on to Blue No 2 bus was very straightforward. We were spoken to on the bus and everything explained clearly. A quick bus journey approx 40 mins got us to the ship. Embarking the ship was a very quick and seamless process.

Our cabins were clean and adequate, not a great deal of space but we didn't plan on spending much time in them. Beds were comfortable. The signage on the ship made it easy to get around and difficult to get lost. The ship itself is generally in very good condition despite reviews saying otherwise. Wherever you were it was always clean and felt homely. It didn't have the glitz and razz-i-matzz of the newer ships but was friendly and charming.

The food was as you would imagine plentiful and there was good choice. We ate at the San Marcco buffet style restaurant about half the time and a la carte the reaming time. The waiters in the a la carte were extremely friendly and could never do enough for you. The food was hot and very enjoyable. No issues at all. We also had one meal at the "pay extra restaurant" which was a top quality meal but i don't think I would do again.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside twin with window

Basic but efficient cabin. comfortable beds and a powerful shower which were the 2 most important things to us. not huge but then we didn't expect them to be. A few tv stations including Sky News.
