Embarking and disembarking was surprisingly very quick. The ship looks very nice and it looks like there's lots to do. But it's like an amusement park in the respects that you have to line up for literally hours to do anything. We tried to make reservations for the North star and iFly before boarding but the website wouldn't allow it. As soon as we boarded I tried the ipads to make the reservations. I continuously got an error message for the whole cruise. iFly and north star were already booked out by second morning. So we waited on a docked day where you didn't need a reservation for the north star. Two and a half hours later we got on. It was very annoying seeing people who had suites go to the front of the line pushing us further and further back.

My son wanted to play the xbox . They were continuously in use. I asked the man running the sea plex if he had any spare controllers. No he said because they needed to be recharged for the next day. So I asked when does it open as my son was keen to be first in the line for the next day. 8am he told me. So we turned up at 8 and waited and waited, no one was there. We went to guest services and they didn't know when somebody would be on duty. I think someone turned up about 9.30 -10am. Yes, the sea plex opens at 8am to play table tennis but you can't play the xbox until the staff come on duty. I was quite angry at this man who didn't give a damn and he just gave us this time knowing all along that we couldn't get the xbox controller until a staff member showed up. Just shows a real contempt for the passengers.

My eight year old got a free glass of wine offer and a free game of something at the casino as a crown and anchor member. My husband went to guest services to get something more appropriate for his age. The crown and anchor desk was unattended and the lady from guest services refused to change it saying it was not possible. We had to wait for the crown and anchor rep to be there she said which would not be until the next day. (I overhead a passenger complain that the crown and anchor attended is never there). Anyway, after the unhelpful guest service attendant wouldn't budge for my husband, I tried a different attendant about ten minutes later. She fixed it immediately, with no hassles. So once again depending who you get, you might get treated with contempt.
