Like all of cruise first timers I visited this site for pre sail information and honestly it was off putting, it genuinely dampened my mood before I had even set sail. What I have to say is I just finished my cruise from Melbourne to Auckland on Friday and I genuinely feel relaxed. Not everything went to plan we werent able to dock in Akaroa because of bad weather and sure it was disappointing but I appreciate that safety comes before pleasure.
There is a lot to do on the cruise and sure the entertainment isnt for everyone and thats fine. Dont complain that you cant be entertained 24/7 thats not why I chose a cruise I chose it to relax and unwind. There was entertainment that I went to some great some not but it didnt kill the mood of my holiday and I traveled with two teenagers. If not getting you jam for your scone for 3 minutes is a reason for formal complaint then complain but seriously!! If your cold watching the movie on the top deck of the ship whilst watching a movie and sitting under the stars then go watch it in the theatre. The staff, hello Jason and Kom were amazing I seriously couldnt fault any of them. Sure some people expect pampered to the hilt, but I just wanted to relax enjoy the scenery and call me old fashioned but sitting talking to people from all over the world and sharing stories from our shore excursions was great.
My suggestions:
Clean and tidy they are serviced twice a day, the beds are really comfortable.
