Everything about this ship was great, the staff as usual made you feel like royalty. No wonder they call themselves Royal Caribbean. There was so much to do on board and the problem was finding time in the day to do it all, thankfully being a long cruise gave plenty of time to do most on board activities. Most things like skating, flow rider and bumper cars you had to line up for but if you got to the area early enough you did not have to wait too long, the staff were very organised and ensured lines moved fairly quickly. Besides you are on holidays and having to wait a little is no problem. People who complain about waiting in lines usually turn up five minutes before the activity closed and are disappointed when they miss out, if you do not want to miss out turn up early.

Most major activities such as I-Fly and North star I recommend booking before boarding especially if you are on a short cruise as there may be little time during the cruise to just turn up and expect to get on. Just takes a bit of organisation before boarding the cruise.

All tendering ports for this cruise was exceptionally organised and we never had to wait to long to get on a tender, mainly due to the fact that we got up exceptionally early on the mornings that tender tickets were issued and usually got on the first or second tender leaving the ship. Once again those who complain about lining up in long lines for tender tickets or having to wait in lines to board tenders arrived five minutes before tender tickets were issued and with four thousand passengers on board what do you expect turning up that late before tickets were issued. Besides once again you on holidays so waiting in line is nothing compared to being at work.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Plenty of storage and space, even with the sofa lounge folded out.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

Sydney Harbour is beautiful as usual, and Sydney turned on spectacular weather for embarkation.

Auckland

Did the hop on hop off bus tour and recommend it if you are short of time in Auckland we got to see the museum and other great sites. Definitely recommend doing the Sky Tower, excellent views.

Wellington

Hop on off bus tour again. great!!! Recommend spending time in the botanical gardens absolutely beautiful.

Dunedin

Cold wet and windy on this day, but really added to the atmosphere of the Scottish town. I recommend taking a local bus into town, alot cheaper than the $15 US return that the ship was charging for shuttle buses. Even a cab worked out cheaper. Public transport is easy to get around and we caught a bus out to Baldwyn Street and climbed the steepest street in the world, well worth it. We booked a Cadbury's tour and a tour of Speights brewery, I recommend booking well before arriving as all tours were booked out all day and some people missed out and were disappointed. I recommend to turn up early to the Cadbury shop to buy your chocolates early 8:30 am as after 10 am it is absolutely packed and you cannot move and on the day we were there they just about sold out of everything. Both the Cadbury tour and Speights tour are worth a look. We also visited the old train station which is a replica of the one in Edinburgh, worth a look.
