We Did NYE Cruise out of Sydney on 30th December 2016. Embarkation was easy for us we boarded 15 minutes after we arrived 11-45 am although I know quite a few people experienced legthy delays due to fumiation of ship due to bad outbreak of Noro Virus on cruise before us -

Our room was made available at 1.30 pm only 1/2 hour delay. Our room was near the Music Hall on deck 3. If you like to stay out late and enjoy live bands and disco this is the ideal spot only a short 10 second stagger back to your room. It was also very quiet so no listeneing to the music whilst trying to sleep - lol We found the room spacious but lacked valuble closet space especialy if like us you like to dress for dinner and formal nights. No where at all to hang a full length ball gown or maxi dresses and even the 1/2 - 1/2 closet was more suited to very short people. I am only 5' and my tops dragged on the floor or got caught on the botton railing.

We had an enjoyable lunch at windjammers but we found the variety on offer quite less than on other ships, This is cruise 18 for us. We also found this in the dining room breakfast, lunch and dinner. We did find the food quite fresh and tasty. Entertainment was good, adult only pool area great along with the adjacent Resaurant. It's a shame they do not have Adult only dining, we have the early sitting and it is quite noisy. We also found this ship a bit rocky so sea sick tablets are recommended.
