The was our third trip on the Mariner and we were really looking forward to our trip. The itinerary and shore trips were excellent. It was our first time in the exotic east and we were left in awe by the stunning beauty of the area. As for the ship - well she is looking pretty tired and is in need of a good top to bottom paint/clean. Another critic has asked where is the WOW factor and I agree it is non existent. There were very few activities on board especially on the sea day. Over the week long cruise there was only one production show and this was poorly rehearsed/choreographed. The Cruise Director and his staff were noticeable be there absence. The breakfast show was unintelligible due to the quality of the sound recording and the CDs accent. Food was average - The menu in main dining room was heavily Asian - mostly Indian! The range of steaks available in Chops Grill has been reduced to two - and if you want these age conditioned expect to pay a supplement on top of the speciality dining supplement. It is sad to see how far the RCCL standards have dropped since we first sailed on the Mariner some 12 years ago.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Suite was lovely with large balcony. Curtains and trims were looking a bit worn bot overall the cabin was very good. Room service was good.
