We went on the Grand soon after her last dry dock and our impression is very favorable. She still shows her age in some insignificant areas but most of the improvements are welcomed. First and foremost if you have ever complained about the bedding on a cruise ship, then cruise the Grand and you will never complain again. The new bedding on this ship is amazing. Everyone we talked to loved it. I know that you don't go on a cruise to sleep but let's face it life is so much better after a good nights sleep. Once again the service on board was excellent. I am sure that someone will complain that we were not able to stop in Ensenada but the weather stopped us from going on shore. They have added a new sit down pizzeria in the piazza cutting down the size of the Vines area. Not sure why they did that except to add the possibility of having you order wine or beer with your no charge pizza. I miss the free sushi with a glass of wine in the old Vines area. Finally I was surprised at the lack of big production shows while on board for 15 days. The only full show was Born To Dance which was very, very good. But that only made it worse not having much after that. Overall still love Princess.
