My overall impression of our first cruise aboard the an Oceania cruise was excellent. There were some issues that prevented me from giving the cruise an overall excellent rating. Here is a summary. Details later in my review.
The food, service and decor of the ship were outstanding. Our cabin and the public areas were always sparkling clean. Ports were typical Caribbean islands - beaches, shopping, excursions. Frankly, other than St. Barts, you could rubber stamp each island. But when you reserve an Oceania cruise, you are going for the amenities on the ship, not necessarily for the sightseeing. The quality of the food was way above any other cruise line we've sailed, as was the service. The decor of the ship was breathtaking with hundreds of art works that would be the pride of any museum.
