Changed from Gullweig to Aegir due to problems on the Danube. Terrific trip!

My friends urged me to travel with them despite my seasick history because their previous trip through France was terrific. They were correct! I didn't lose a minute on this extraordinary vacation.

We enjoyed our trip to China with Grand Circle in May, 2007 but the Three Gorges river cruise component was ruined by my seasickness for days and put me off any cruise, even on a river. Live and Learn.

Every aspect of this trip was beyond my expectations: touring, in a comfortable coach with knowledgeable guides; dining, especially in Aquavit with tasty food on small plates and fine local wines; traveling to BMW, Hungarian Horsemen, and to other local interests on extra excursions; learning while sailing; walking or sightseeing on the top deck; and even saying goodby on the last day. We were blessed with a ship full of friendly travelers and dined or toured with many vacation friends. The October weather was cold, cool, sometimes rainy, sometimes sunny: perfect, too. The crowds were not there.

Deluxe Stateroom

Cabin F

Friendly stewardess. Always clean. Comfortable bed, with room for bags under the bed and in the large closets. We lived there; never had to unpack/pack. Walk-in shower with a retractable clothes line! We enjoyed the occasional view of mossy stones as we went through locks or tied up to docks and did not miss a veranda since the top deck is almost always available. Being a place we spent the least time it was just fine.
