The departure port of Fort Lauderdale was great, the embarkation was smoothly carried out although it was difficult to hear the announcements for boarding.
The disembarkation was very smooth and well handled by Holland America.
The ship itself is superb, and cannot complain about the cabins and facilities, except for the Spa which had several problems, probably down to being the first season, none of the lockers could be locked,so that valuables had to be left in the cabins, the small Steam Room was out of order the whole trip, as was the Fountain shower in the Spa area.. Also I cannot understand why the Saunas were outside the Spa facility, and why there was one for males and one for females, which meant my wife and I were separated..Further, why the changing Rooms were located so far away from the Spa itself is a mystery!

Verandah Stateroom
Average size and well fitted out. Bathrooms were superb and very good shower. Position of Toilet faced the shower door, so knees were needed to be one side.
The door to the balcony was very heavy and could not be left open, probably necessary, but cannot understand why sliding doors could not have been used.
