Eating

We were very pleased with our dining room experience and loved the American Table menu at dinner. Our section of the dining room (Golden Pearl, Upstairs, late dining) was not very crowded and had very good service from an experienced staff. Our only dining room complaint was dirty silverware at 3-4 meals.

The Lido at breakfast and lunch was plagued with beverage problems and needed more staff attention and proactive management. At least one of the ice machines was out of ice and one of the coffee machine stations was out of coffee, needed service or was out of clean coffee cups each time I needed coffee and staff was not around. At one point I had to cross the deck to get an empty clean cup from a broken coffee station and return to the first station to get coffee. Out of 12 Carnival cruises spread over 25 years I don't remember this happening so often. The Lido Pizza was very good.
