We choose this cruise to board the Oasis of the Seas for the first time. My wife and I went as we normally do, by ourselves. We are in our late 60's but we dance, have fun and use the pools, jog, run and eat. Embarkation was smooth and fast, very organized. Debarkation was even faster, about 10 minutes to exit the terminal from start to finish, could not believe it.
This ship is very large yet it was very easy to navigate all areas. The key is to use the promenade (deck 5). Elevators are at both ends and quite a few they are. Remember that in many areas the food is free even if it looks expensive. Park Central (deck 8), just a great place to spend time to relax, get a great roast beef sandwich, fruit cups, salads and excellent soups. The Solarium was another spot to eat. But the Windjammer is the venue for eating most of the time.
On deck 5 is the promenade and the jogging track. Go past the Boardwalk (here is the carousel) and the Aqua Theater. The promenade is the center of everything, from bars to music to 24hrs cafe, pizza. At Sorrentos they serve pizza with all the ingredients you want added,
Roomy, super clean, excellent service. Has a mini refrigerator, hair blower, 32" LCD TV, shower has round doors, King bed, sofa bed. Plenty of hangers and closet space.
Labadee is the private beach in Haiti for Royal Caribbean. The beach needs some cleaning up. I compare it with others.
Orlando Cruise Port is just becoming one of the great cruise hubs in the world. Clean, beautiful and easy to get in and out of.
Cozumel in Mexico was very clean, They speak both English and Spanish very well. This was the nicest and prices were lowest. The folks were very nice and no one pressured you unlike other ports. A lot to see just walking around.
Falmouth in Jamaica was very clean. A lot of shops and the people were very friendly and nice. There was a lot to see just walking around.
