This not being my first cruise I found it to be very disappointing. The service was minimal, I actually didn't know who my cabin steward was the entire trip. While trying to enjoy the deck with my 4 year old not once was I ever approached for a drink, you had to go to the bar and get it yourself. The food the entire trip was that, just food. Nothing special or spectacular, it kept one nourished but the buffet had the identical items in the identical place every single day. A little dull. The dining room food was ok, the only thing I can say was delicious were the mashed potatoes. The food was nothing to write home about. The night of lobster I was unfortunately too sea sick to enjoy. And why was I sea sick? The boat rocked side to side viciously for 6 of the 7 days. I, nor many other seasoned cruisers had EVER experienced rocking like that. Never had I been that sea sick in my life. Thank goodness room service brought some wonderful motion sickness medication that was the ONLY thing affordable on the ship, 4 pills for $3.75. Due to the rocking of the boat the entertainment was significantly trimmed in the theater.

We were greeted with a note while boarding the ship to state our first port, Half Moon Cay, would be cancelled before we left the docks. We did manage to see St. Thomas and Puerto Rico. As we were approaching beautiful Grand Turk I took photos of the shore, hoping and thinking we were going to dock the ship kept sailing by.... announcing that we were going to Miami. Apparently too windy....not according to my pics. Very disappointing. Due to the no stop everyone headed to the outside deck... there were not places to sit, no extra chairs out people just sitting on the floor.

During the trip we did encounter some windy weather, the top outside decks were closed off for the majority of the trip. The one nice covered indoor pool (retractable roof) was not in use... when we wanted to enjoy some pool time with the kids staff wouldn't allow it stating the pool was only for 18 years and over. Too bad the staff wouldn't bend to allow parents to entertain our little ones in the closed pool area, patrons of the boat certainly didn't care as no persons were even in the water.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

The cabin was nice, had plenty of room for the 3 of us, this included a child. Sofa/bed was vinyl and it was very beat up... some tears and worn out. The chair in the room was also very worn out, it was good for garbage heap. The bed was good but I really liked the pillows and blankets, very comfortable. The balcony was nice to have, having that natural light was fantastic.
