First a quick note: I am computer savvy but have never been a chat room/ blogger type guy. But, because I have been checking Cruise Critic for years, I decided to join as a member. It was easy and I soon found the Roll Call for the cruise I me and my wife were taking. I began to chat and several of us decided to meet at the Stellar Bar on the back of the Lido Deck at 7:30 pm on out first day. I was a little uneasy about it but showed up and met several of the Cruise Critic members. They were all great  and it was neat to put faces and stories with usernames. I am not recommending other do it but it was a neat experience for me. Now for the cruise: We got in later than we usually do (2:30pm) so we were able to drag out own bags directly to our room. We then headed to the Lido for a late lunch of course the Bon Voyage drinks. The Ship: I found it clean and was easy to get around. It was packed but they ship handled the big crowd very well. The Lido pool with the stadium type layout was the hotspot but behind the buffet was the adult area because kids were not allowed in the pool. The kids took over every other pool but what do you expect. The Room: Not bad. We had an inside cabin but had plenty of room. We had a great room steward in Rod. He kept the room very clean and left the usual towel creatures that my wife found soooo cute but began to get on my nerves. Carnival is still doing the $40 for the cabin steward and $40 for the waiter automatically on the sail and sign. We left it on the card and tipped Rod a little extra. The Food: Medium. Not great but not bad. Captains night was lobster. A few of my favorites : flat iron steak, pan seared flounder, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes. Desserts: Apple pie, baked alaska, amorreto cake and of course the chocolate warming cake.Service was good. We got in late from our tour in Cozumel and the served us dinner. That was cool. The Entertainment: Outstanding. The shows were 1st class. The comedienne Diane Ford was hilarious. Blood Power may be the best cover band I have ever heard and the salsa band Mambo Caliente had the dance floor packed.
