Loved sailing past bucolic scenes in the Czech Republic and parts of Germany that used to be part of East Germany. Staff members were friendly, very personal in their own stories, funny and very attentive. Food and wine were excellent! I especially liked the museum we went to in Dresden filled with treasures and the special rock formations in the "Alps."
Potsdam was sobering knowing what history happened there. The guides, especially the ones in Germany, were very informative. We spent extra days in Prague before the trip started and afterwards in Berlin where we went to the Holocast Museum, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Topography of Terror. Despite the cold and sometimes rainy weather, the trip was very enjoyable, and there was plenty of water for the ship! Programming on the cruise was expertly handled and maps were always available for the town outings. It was very fun to take an evening walk through one town where we were only staying the night at the port.
I might never have seen the towns we stopped at in any other trip and especially liked the personal stories about what it was like to live in the eastern block before unification.
Tiny for 2 singles, but well designed. Loved having the floor to ceiling sliding glass door so you could always have visuals of the river and sights, and could open door to feel the air. Staff very attentive.
